Procopiou, of Greek descent, fuses her previous artistic training (she studied History of Art at Christie’s in Paris and graphic deign at Central St Martins) and her childhood laced with fairytales to create these beautiful pieces. Her second collection, in which she has also designed kimonos, sees her influenced by David Bowie’s Ziggie Stardust phase; most of the scarves exhibit galactic scenes that when looked at, drawn one into the far away land, momentarily.
