Austin Reed & Mind Suit Swap
If the new autumn/winter 2012 arrivals seem to be endlessly calling your name, and last season’s purchases no longer seem as appealing in comparison, then fear not, as tailoring specialist Austin Reed may have come up with the solution to all your problems.
Teaming up with Mind, the mental health charity, the two have joined forces to create an initiative entitled ‘Suit Swap’.
Starting September 3rd and running right the way through to October 5th 2012, the scheme allows you to take any of your unwanted suits into your local Mind or Austin Reed store, and in return you will receive a £50 suit voucher to spend in any Austin Reed stand alone store.
Whether you’ve simply fallen out of love with your previous formal wear and like the idea of replacing it with this seasons ‘must have’ silhouettes and styles, or fancy cashing in on that ill fitting suit that has been collecting dust in the back of your wardrobe, then this is the scheme for you.
The campaign will also feature a celebrity online auction, whereby you are able to bid for suits that have been donated by some of the nations celebrities, with all proceeds going to Mind. One particular item that we’ve got our eye on here in the FashionBeans office is a suit which has been donated by Plan B himself.
Nick Hollingworth, CEO of Austin Reed says: “This is a terrific initiative that Austin Reed is proud to be part of. Mind is an extremely significant and worthwhile charity and we are thrilled that we can work with Mind to raise awareness and funds for this essential cause.”
There has never been a better time to recycle your old wears – supporting a good cause in the process – so what are you waiting for? Go and have a good rummage around your wardrobe and see what no longer needs to take up space in your closet.
